I picked this up hoping it would be like the DC Comics posterbook, but was kind of let down with what I got. The posters in this book are bigger by a couple inches, but unlike the DC book, the posters are back to back rather than one poster per page, so if you want to display the posters like I did, you have to choose which cover you want to show. Also, the DC book's pages were perforated for easy removal while this book claims the same, but the pages are glued in so you might tear a few of the pages while pulling them out and you have to remove the glue from the edges. The covers are transferred over to poster size and the color is rich, but there aren't many current covers as in the case of the DC book which covered the big covers over the course of its 75 year history. All in all a good book but it could have been better.

The posters are nice but they are double-sided so you can only use half of them for wall art. Also, if you are looking for heroic art of Iron Man then don't look here. The only Iron Man cover is one where he is struggling with alcohol. The posters are 11 3/4" X 16 1/2".

I love the posters. However, they are double-sided. I purchased them to use as wallpaper and ended up having to buy two books so that I could use all the posters. They are durable and of good quality.

Made a great gift for a 15 year old boy. Only negative is the pages are printed on both sides so you have to pick the poster you like best to hang up.

The quality and size of the posters are fantastic although some of the choices leave a lot to be desired. As the previous reviewer pointed out, it's 40 posters but 20 pages so you have to make some hard choices. The major problem is that the posters are alphabetical by comic title, so if you're an Avengers or X-Men fan, you are definitely not getting all their posters. One particularly egregious one is the page with FF#1 backed with FF#49, so you either take the iconic first issue or the story with Galactus's first appearance. More thought should have gone into the design. Written before modernist changes of Vatican II. A good, solid, traditional understanding of the Bible (which the Catholic Church wrote, by the way) and what the Church teaches.

A very pretty and informative book but with no practical information such as where to stay, eat, etc. Don't make the mistake I did in buying this thinking it would help you plan your trip.

Great photos and practical information about Scotland. More user-friendly than some other travel guides.

Great history, photos and general information. It does not however include information on lodging and eating, which necessitates referring to another guide book.

This book is ok so far. I am reading it because the other reviewers stressed on the fact that it is biased towards Arabs and Muslims. I am a Muslim and what I needed to include here is that there are several key historical facts that are misrepresented and included as a straight fact without explanation that is from one point of view. This misrepresents Islam in a significant way. All the Muslim sects and groups agree that the Prophet had a sermon where he appointed a successor, but not all follow it, so that is something worth mentioning.

I usually love to read historical books that why I always find some new information about history and want to learn something new about different place. This book is one of them this book is base on Middle eastern part of the world I mean it’s about Arabic history that why I purchased this book and after read the entire book I can say that this book is one of the best historical book I ever read. This book provides a brief details about Middle Eastern history its culture people and the most important the holy book Quran. Overall this is one the best historical book about Islam and Middle Eastern people history.

This was a very poorly written book and I feel like I was scammed. The author calls "Jewish" a language instead of Hebrew, and there are many other errors. There are even cheap-looking advertisements in the beginning of the book and in the middle asking you to sign up for their book club or whatever. You can find this information for free online and it may even be more accurate. I will use this to tutor a 6 year old how to read, so I will give it 2 stars.

Good for a first contact with the subject. A serious introduction would be at least ten times more extensive! It is also desirable to have some comparison with the far east and the civilization around the Indus valley.

Good general overview of the history of the area for someone looking to orient to Middle Eastern politics, but it contains a couple of facts I would take issue with (like whether Bethlehem is located in Israeli territory), and also this book could use a once-over by an Editor; several typos/grammar issues. It seems like maybe it was a paper for someone's graduate work.

Again, it is a short novel. Regardless, I would like to see a map about this.I would also like to see references from the material and about the author. I do not mean to be a snob. I have a Bachelor in history. I am also Bless to be a intern at one of the History News Website online. My job is interviewing historians.If I find historians authors, I would automatic read it and share on social media about this book. Why the need for references? The author ends the story with a critical question. I think that rocks! Again, not being snob, I wanted to know information on the author and his research. Most historians are like this. It would also entice other historians to read this book. If those things were done it could turn into a 5 star. At the moment, I give it 4 stars.

This book is an absolutely perfect read for someone looking for real, authentic, and un-bias knowledge about the Middle East. Starting from the Sumerian’s to the Ottoman Empire, the book informs you of holy wars and cities that were conducted back in those days. Persians, people of Israel, and Egypt are among the list of discussions. I especially enjoyed reading on the influence West has had in the Middle East. I recommend this book to people that like to read on the topic in question.

The 4 and 5 star reviews are completely bogus. As the other one star reviewer stated, this book is a bunch of white space with big font type (imagine a third grade reader format). It's just a glorified pamphlet with NO pictures.Not a single map, or address, or even a index. Although it doesn't need an index because it is so devoid of content.If you think this is going to be like typical "3 days in [city name]" guidebooks you will be as disappointed as I was. There are no suggested tours to do in a day or even three; very few activities even suggested.This book is not only not worth the money, it wasn't worth the time you spent to read this review.

Huge font, much blank space on pages, no pictures, very few specifics. It's a brochure, at best. Save your $ and just look up "Taipei travel" on the internet. You'll find more there than is in this book, by far.

It is an amazing and so helpful tourist guidebook and throughout it I have come to know so many things about this beautiful city Taipei. Actually I have a plan to spend my next vacation at Taipei and for the purpose of keeping a good knowledge about this city’s everything, I picked this travel guidebook two weeks ago. Inside here I got lots of information about Taipei like tourist attraction places, what to avoid while traveling, best place to say, eat & shopping. Here I have found several helpful tips about how to stay safe in that city and save time & money as well. I got some of my question’s answers about that city from here. I am really so impressed and happy by know all these things that what I found from this book. Now I just can’t wait for the vacation and go to Taipei right away.

I'd say this is about 20 pages long in reality.No maps, guide to the layout & neighborhoods of the city barley mentioned.You'd be much better off going to TripAdvisor and spending 20 minutes browsing around there.
